Cleanaway enters new waste contract

Cleanaway has signed a new contract with the Bega Valley Shire Council on New South Wales’ southern coast to continue as its waste collection contractor.
This follows a competitive tender process completed in late 2024 to see its waste trucks continue local rubbish collection.

The contract commenced yesterday, and will see Cleanaway’s new and upgraded waste collection vehicles enter operation on the waste collection runs.
These modern trucks offer improved safety and environmental performance and they’ll soon have a fresh new look, with a unique local art project set to be announced.
“There will be no changes to current collection days for households or businesses,” Bega Valley Shire Council waste strategy coordinator, Tim Cook says.
“It’s business as usual, but with some great improvements on the horizon.
“Keep an eye out for more information this week. We’ll be announcing a great opportunity for local artists to be part of something that will be seen right across the shire.”
